Tri-State Window Specifications

Main Frame

  • Aluminum reinforced: Our frames are reinforced with rustproof aluminum. This keeps the window from warping. Most competitors’ windows are hollow. Those competitors that do reinforce their window use steel. Using steel as reinforcement is 900% less expensive than using the rust-proof aluminum that tri-state uses. Steel will rust, rot into the window sill and subsequently damage the windows.
  • Foam Filled
  • Foam Wrapped

Interior Sash

  • Aluminum Reinforced: Our sashes are reinforced with rustproof aluminum. This keeps the window from warping. The competition uses steel, this will rust and begin to flake out from within the frame causing the frame to lose its structural integrity. Our sashes are filled with foam to further enhance the thermal insulation.
  • Fully Welded
  • Foam Filled

Exterior Sash

  • Aluminum Reinforced: Our sashes are reinforced with rustproof aluminum. This keeps the window from warping. The competition uses steel, this will rust and begin to flake out from within the frame causing the frame to lose its structural integrity. Our sashes are filled with foam to further enhance the thermal insulation.
  • Fully Welded
  • Foam Filled

Balance System: Stainless steel constant force ¾” coil spring

The stainless steel constant force coil spring maintains a constant pressure upon opening and closing the window in order to ensure ease of operation.

Glass Type: Triple Pane, Double Low-E

Double Low-E glass on the inside panes. The glass is cleaned and dual sealed in an ultra clean room. The same technology to keep computer chips free from impurities, keeps dust and particles from getting in between the sealed panes of glass. This gives us a much tighter seal between the panes.

[Page shows diagram of sunlight penetrating each pane of glass. Much of the sunlight bounces of the first couple of panes, and very few sunlight penetrates all the way through.]

Gas Fill: Argon Gas

Argon is a colorless, odorless, non-flammable, non-reactive, inert gas. Argon is used to reduce heat loss by slowing down convection inside the air space. Argon gas is extremely cost efficient, and works best when combined with low-e glass.

Gas Fill: Krypton Gas

Krypton is a colorless, odorless, non-flammable, non-reactive, inert gas. Krypton is used to reduce heat loss by slowing down convection inside the air space. Krypton gas is extremely cost-efficient, and works best when combined with Low-e glass.

Spacer: Edgetech Super Spacer

The glass is dual sealed, first with our non-conductive thermal superspacer. Our superspacer is made from a space age silicon composite, originally used on the space shuttle. This moisture absorbant material does not conduct hot or cold and will draw away any latent moisutre that may have gotten sealed between the panes. The competition uses aluminum spacers which allow the conduction of hot and cold air between the panes.) Our panes are thene hermetically sealed with a hot mebutyl to further increase efficiency.

Lift Handle: Fill-width contoured extruded lift rail.

Our lift rail is twice as strong as the competition and 50% thicker
